I`ve conflicting information on the torque for the six bolts holding the clutch cover to the flywheel on my TC. Information I currently can find is either 19lbs per foot or 32 lbs. per foot. Is either correct or is there another setting please?

I assume you mean the bell-housing to the block? Those are M8x1.0 bolts, so 32 foot-pounds is fine into the block. The lower bolts go into the aluminum sump which is tender, so I would use the lower figure there, with either lock-washers or thread-locker. Check the sump threaded holes carefully, as they do strip, and are often bodgered with non-standard bolts. Ditto for the two threaded holes from the sump up into the timing cover - they are often stripped, and require inserts.

I think we're talking about the clutch to flywheel bolts here. You can use standard torque figured for whatever grade bolts you're using. Generally this is 19 lbs./ft. If using standard hardware. (Edited to correct for standard grade). 32 is for high strength bolts.

I`m causing a little confusion here and haven`t made myself clear. This is what I`m bolting to the flywheel.

19 lbs./ft. for grade 8.8. Unless you're using special bolts, in which case go with the manufacturer's recommendation. Or standard torque settings for whatever grade you use. I would use minimum grade 8.8. I also like to use a little blue locktite.

Standard torque figures can be found on any Metric torque chart. 8x1.25 is close enough to 8x1.0.
