spark plugs

Post by jddevel » Tue May 17, 2022 9:01 am

Can the type of plug be identified by the depth of the threaded portion of the head? If so assuming it is half inch, (short) what modern types/ number is recommended for a XPAG in a Y type please. The existing are Champion L10s which I believe were updated to L86C but what substitutes are available?

1/2" aka 14mm reach L10S plugs were also factory supplied in the TC. Heat range of L10S = L82C. Might be a bit cool unless you run around at high RPM's. L86C is the next heat range hotter (Same as L10) and more likely to work out with more reasonable RPM usage.

I have found the projected tip plugs to be no good in the TC, but some swear by them. L92YC = L86C, and L87YC = L82C in heat range.
