Seat runner fixing

Post by JonnyP » Mon Apr 10, 2023 2:51 am

I’m seeking clarification of the original way the seat runners were fixed to the floor at the front? Am I correct in my understanding that there should be slots in the rear carpet through which the seat runner hinges go, so that the runner screws are hidden under the carpet?

Correct! The hinges face forwards, held down by c/s screws directly onto the plywood floor, with carpet over them.

I used machined c/s screws and T nuts instead of wood screws to secure the rails

Definitely a more robust solution.
