Chassis number

On a 1948 MG TC is the chassis number visible from under the front fender or do you have to remove a part to find it?

Hi Garry, the chassis number is easily visible without even getting under the car. Look on the flat part of the frame between the left front spring pin and the shock absorber. The numbers aren't stamped very deep, so if the paint is thick then you might not be able to see it without sanding it down a little.

Here's a photo of 6110.
