Here's a simple question: were the posts which support the badge bar at the ends painted body color? One of mine seems to be very light weight (pot metal?) and is silver, the other is all rusted up. Were they right and left handed? Both of mine point the same way.

The badge bar brackets are ferrous castings, handed and should be finished in body colour.

In addition to the above... aftermarket clamps are aluminum, so that's probably what one of your is.
