MG T-ABC

When I remove the bell housing from TC 6984, these small springs were lying in the bottom of the housing. No idea what they are for and don't seem to find them in the exploded diagrams for TC clutch.
Can any shed and light on this?

The little ones look like throwout bearing springs. Big one looks like the one that holds the other bearing on the clutch plate.

Those are the springs that hold the fingers on the pressure plate. I don't think that's a good thing to find loose; you may be in for an engine removal to fix,

The pressure plate I put in one of my TCs had the problem of those springs not staying in place, and a friend's TC with an engine rebuild this year had the same problem. Leads me to wonder if there's something amiss with these new pressure plates that allows the springs to slip out of place.

Definitely from the pressure plate.
The two single coils are a broken and mangled example of the one with double coils. Less likely to be from the clutch friction disc.

Now that we know where those springs belong- any suggestions on where I can source a couple? Seems like a waste to throw out a pressure plate for a set of tiny springs that wouldn't even weigh and ounce!

If you have a local re-lining shop, they can probably replace them for you.
