Can You Help

I am trying to trace some history for my 1949 MG TC. She was an EXU car so I am hoping that some members from the USA might be able to offer assistance or suggestions, particularly those from the Massachusetts area. What I do know is:
TC8766 EXU / XPAG9493
Build Date – May 1949
Colour – Now, Grey/Green, Originally, Cream/Ivory, Green interior.
Returned to U.K. In 2010
Registered in S Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 2008 with Registration 336BFX in its current Grey/ Green colour.
If anyone recognises the car or can offer suggestions for contacts or clubs that might be able to help me trace former owners then please email: jgtemple@hotmail.co.uk.
