Nuts and bolts

Post by timandgerda » Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:14 pm

Evening all. Does anyone know the correct bolts for fitting the handbrake brackets to the chassis? When looking through the bits I got with the car I have found four 5/16 BSF bolts 1" long that have locking nuts and are drill for split pins - any idea what these are for? Thanks. Tim.

Sounds like typical hardware used on the driveshaft to flanges.

Agree with Duncan, could be prop shaft. The handbrake is secured with four BSF 5/16 in x 3/4 in nuts/bolts, according to this TC list of body and chassis bolts (page 2). I don’t recall any chassis fasteners with castellated nuts/split pins.
