Hello and meet Gigi TC5510

Post by Kenmgtc » Fri May 25, 2018 8:00 am

Hello everyone, new member here. I rescued TC5510 last November from her previous owner since 1967 and have accomplished a number of projects, and she's now running well. Still a number of items to take care of, so I'm sure you'll see me asking for help soon. Car was from Arizona/New Mexico originally so has been spared the salt and rust of the midwest.
I owned TD 6686 for about 5 years, but always wanted a TC due to its prewar styling and sharper handling.
Finding pre-1967 holes for brooklands windscreens inspired a more sporting appearance, so i'm making over the car to look more like a period racer, but this make goggles a requirement at higher speeds!
Kind regards, Ken

Beautiful! And lucky to find a car with such a long-term owner.

A nice look, the black wheels work well with that combination of exterior and interior colors. As far as the Brooklands screens, I find that there is no need at all for goggles as the seating position is low enough that there seems to be plenty of wind blocking from them. My windshield is always folded when the top is down.
