TC door sills

Hi.have a quick question..
Do the door sills fold over underneath or just stay as a flat slab.
On my passenger side the sill is not folded but half way along someone has folded over the timber.
On the drivers side has not been folded over.
Just wondering what is correct.
My car is ready to have the body tub painted and doors are fitted reasonably well now.
On the passenger side someone has filled away metal from side of door where door skin folds over at top corner and top of dash all the way along to front of bonnett is about 10mm different to drivers side in distance windscreen holes are from the edge where folds over.
All seems original and wonder how accurate they were when new.
I will try and update with some photos.
The divers side is near perfect so can use as a reference.
Im guessing door sills are not folded at the bottom.
