Help please.What would have originally been fitted in the two clips on the front of the battery box - large at bottom and small at top. To me it`s the sort of clips that may have held a fire extinguisher.

Most likely a bracket for a spare can of oil. Duckhams came in the bottle type cans and this is likely what it was for. This was a period accessory not a factory item. There were also sparkplug holders and trouble lights and others.
