Will you be driving much this year?

I've just been updating the calendar for this year and up to now we'll be taking part in 15 events with the TA.

Most are driving events ranging from the short (under 100 mile trips) to the slightly longer (200 -250 miles)

One will be a 400 mile weekend. 80 miles to the start, 160 mile trip, and about another 160 miles back home.

There are a couple of shows but they are about 60 miles return trip.

Buy oil shares now. :)

Wow...but then again when you drive 200 miles in England you've covered most of the country...grin. Here, just to get to some events, you're driving 450 - 850 miles. Those, of course, are driven in comfort with the TC in tow. We do plan to *tow* to Arizona from Mississippi later this year to the GOF West - a one way distance of 1612 miles.

We do run out of land quickly here, Gene, so we drive round in circles till we disappear up our own exhaust pipes. :)

In the late 60's and again in the mid-80's I was stationed (US Navy) in Scotland (Thurso and Holy Loch) and was amazed how quickly you could get from place to place there. The London to Brighton Run took on a whole new meaning to me when I discovered it was only 54 miles (old car or not).

We will be at GoF West also. We're driving from Southern California to the event (in Carefree, Arizona) which should be about 500 miles each way.

We will also be attending our annual conclave between the TC Motoring Guild and the Abingdon Rough Riders. This TC-only event (with a couple TA and TB snuck in) has been going on every year since 1957! It will take place somewhere along the central California coast, which by the way is about 800 miles long. In other words, you can drive a TABC for three days before crossing a single border.
