Parts List: TC5086
Parts List: TC5086
Considering arguments I've had in the past about this and that, I'm dead certain that I'm going to catch heck for this, but after weighing out my options and debating things in my head, i've decided to take a radically different approach to my TC
Long story short, I've decided to sell what I don't need, and use the finances made available therein to build an Electric car. The simple construction, Long / narrow form, and light weight make the car almost ideal for a very light, lithe, sporty driving experience.
Anyway, the following components are for sale, individually or as a bunch:
Engine: Turns over by hand, compression is good, Original Distributor, Oil system converted to spin-on, pipes converted to braided hose.
Transmission
Rebuilt Starter
Rebuilt Generator
Original Voltage Regulator
Gas Tank (in primer)
New Wiring Harness
Brake Master Cylinder
very lightly used engine mounts, bolts,
girling shock absorbers (NEED REBUILT)
Bishop Cam Steering box and column, Front Drag Links,
Driveshaft
Dash Cluster/Gauges
Speedometer + Tachometer
Exhaust System
Carburettors + Rebuild Kit (not yet installed)
Original Air Cleaner getup.
Original Fuel Pump
And now I shall sit patiently and await the hate mail.

Re: Parts List: TC5086
While I understand your approach, I think you may regret it when it comes time to sell. Your potential buyers are going to want those original parts. Without them the car will be worth next to nothing because of the cost of attaining the missing pieces. And even then it will no longer be a matching numbers car. I get it, the old parts finance the new parts. But in the long run, it will cost you far more money to do it like this.
My best suggestion is to sell this car as it is. With that money you could buy an MGB or Midget and finance a complete restoration including electric conversion. It would be a better performing car, cost less to do, and there are some electric conversions already out there so some of the engineering problems have already been overcome.
If you're dead set on selling the original parts, shoot me an email with your pricing.

Re: Parts List: TC5086
I would be interested in some of the parts but as a rule I don't respond to ads without pricing.
As to Steve's comments. This car hobby is not about making money but enjoying. If you want to build an electric TC go for it. I never look at cars advertised as matching number or if from Calif "Black Plate" as they are expecting me to pay more for that and I can't see the numbers or the color of the plate while driving down the road. Which is what a car is for

Hi Kameron, I'd love to purchase the shock absorbers please.
I'm presuming they are girling PR6's and being 4 of them. The price is needed along with the shipping cost to the UK please?
