Subject: [mg-tabc] windscreen motor
Hi everyone, I was wondering could you help me?
I recently took the windscreen motor of my tc and the wiper arms just popped off. Now when I went to put them on again, the motor turns fine but the arms only move a very little. Was there some sort of gripping on the motor I lost when I took it off, or something like that??
hope to hear from you soon
Martin

Re: Windscreen motor on tc
Martin- There are two halves of a brass wedge that fit around the shaft that are tightened around the shaft by tightening the nut on the front of the windshield wiper arm. Tighten them up so the shaft does not slip inside the arm. Be careful everything is brass and strips or breaks easily.

Martin- Sorry my original message may have come thru as many squares, so I'll send it again- There is a tiny brass two piece round wedge in the end of the windshield wiper arm that tightens the arm to the motor shaft. Tighten the nut on the end of the arm will snug it up so it won't slip. Be careful as every thing is brass and strip and breaks easily. Let me know all if this message is ok. I made one of these dumb changes in the settings and created a problem-sorry John Patterson TC 7025
