Yahoo message group

Post by frenchblatter » Thu Apr 16, 2015 6:16 am

I've applied and been accepted to the MG-TABC group.

I can generate new messages but cannot reply to any posts made by others. I've searched for a setting that may be causing this, reported it to Steve who passed it on to David. Davids emails are now bouncing back.

I've tried using Chrome, IE and Firefox, but none seem to work.

Anyone got any more ideas?

One member tells me that the Yahoo site is full of problems and nothing ever gets sorted, not sure if this is the case here. I would have thought if I can send a message to the group I would be able to reply to others.

Norman, David here and since you cannot seem to reply to me (emails bouncing back) I guess we will have to use this forum. Let me ask a series of questions to help me better understand all that is going on.

Do you have an email program that you use or do you check your emails on a website?

Have you tried logging into the Yahoo Groups site to see messages there and reply from there?

Are you seeing incoming group messages from others in either above scenarios?

When you say emails sent to me are bounding back, are you replying direct to my email address or through the Yahoo Group site?

Yahoo does seem to have some issues but your problem is a new one on me. May have to resort to try dropping and adding you back into the group to see if that resets anything.

How does the Yahoo group differ from this?

Its an email-based discussion. A bit of a pain, but popular because it's been around for so long.

I have had a yahoo email for years, and whenever I try and join the TABC group it first asks me to sign into yahoo, after which it says I need to complete my "online profile" and has a link. I follow the link to change or add online profile and it takes me nowhere, just around in circles. Anyone else run across this yahoo difficulty? Hints? It does it every time.

I don't know what the problem is, but I'm seeing the same problem on other Yahoo Groups. Their UI updates seem to always make things worse.

I was finally able to get through the endless Yahoo loop about updating my "online profile." Not sure if that was a yahoo email account problem or a yahoo group problem.
