I can not, for the life of me get the flywheel to fit over the two locating pins on the crank. I don't know how it is possible for the pins to become wider than the holes in the flywheel (and yes I've had the flywheel on before after I mocked up the car two years ago (I got it in box's).
The OD of the stud is about .282 and the ID of the hole in the fly is .263
The pin is in the crank sticking out what I think is the correct amount
The other pin is in the flywheel, sticking out only a 1/4"
-The flywheel has 93 teeth, I assume this is the correct flywheel for the TC?
-Should these pins be both firmly located in the crank, or flywheel?
-What do I do, file down the pin(s) as required to fit the fly as they are just locating pins.. or are they?
Thanks, Pat
Why does my TC flywheel not fit the crank locating pins?

You've got it backwards, I think. The pins are tapered, and must be removed from the crank first. Then bolt up the flywheel to the crank snugly but not tight, then drive the pins into both flywheel and crank flange to positively locate the flywheel. Then torque the bolts to 50 pound/feet, and lockwire. Did you replace the bushing in the crank? Do so!

Hey Pat...if you leave the locating pins out you've got a hell of an area for the oil from the rear main to escape. Been there, done that...didn't see the need to "locate" the flywheel with the 4 bolts in place!

I had my flywheel lightened and balanced with the pressure plate at a speed shop . They also did the mods for the rear seal conversion . I am happy with the outcome so far . Just an FYI .
