TA Interior & shocks

Post by Ron Rose » Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:37 pm

Wondering if anyone has a contact for quality TA interior kits or work and access to TA shocks. Thanks.....glad to be apart of the community.

Hello Ron,

You don't say where you are in the world.

In the UK there is Collingburn and Purves to do interiors for you, or kits from Collingburn, Moss or NTG. I used an NTG kit and it worked fine.

TA shocks are quite another matter. Your only hope for Luvax is used units, which are not easy to repair (internal break beyond repair) and leak. Been there, done that. Alternatively, you might like to consider telescopic (US = tube) shocks. See my articles in TTT2 June http://ttypes.org/ttt2/mg-ta-rear-teles ... -absorbers and updated slightly in December http://ttypes.org/ttt2/mg-ta-rear-teles ... ers-update.

There is also an article by Collingburn in the June issue.

Hope this helps,

Hi Ian: thanks so much for your reply. I am located in British Columbia, Canada and very much used to looking outside the country for parts. Really appreciate the shock information, I'll checkout the article. Thanks again..... Ron

There was/is a company called Heritage, which had operations in North Vancouver and Blaine WA. They apparently did quite nice T series upholstery kits, and intalls. I'd do a search for them and have a look.

Hi Rick: Yes, I have previously contacted them, they don't do TA interiors. They use precision cut laser templets for TC's but no TA templets. There are some minor discrepancies, particularly with the number of seat back pleats. Thanks for the suggestion.......Ron
