TC bull horns

Post by Ray White » Sun Jun 13, 2021 1:44 pm

Does anyone (here in the U.K) have a spare cross brace that I could purchase, please?. Mine is a very poor fit to the new body tub. I thought it might be easier to get another one than try and re make mine.

Hi Ray, I cannot help with supplying a bull horn, but seeing your post has reminded me to get in touch to see if I could pop over one day before the weather breaks to see how your restoration is coming on. I'm only in Eastwood, so just down the road from you.

WRT the bull horn, mine needed to be bent a little bit to fit the new tub properly. However, my biggest problem in fitting it was caused by the new after market inner wings (from a well known supplier) being nowhere near the right cross section and therefore not fitting the correct curve of the bull horn. If that's your problem, fix the inner wings and not the bull horn.

Regards
Steve

Ray

I have an original TC cross-brace for sale. I'm in Surrey.

be aware that the TA ones are slightly different shape along with locating holes offset Ray. If you can, use the original one, afterall you wont see it again after all the finishings are done.
