some weeks and i have a MG
for the sun TA
and some bad weather YA
so i have both ;-.)

next winter i will make the wiring of my TA
in the 80 they have taken any colours, it is working but if you look behind ;-(
and my new dashboard hanging in my garage for more than 1 year will be fine in the car too

The USA is so big that we have many different climates. Fires in the west and floods in the east. Both are bad, but you can stop a fire before it reaches the city. They happen mostly just in the forest. But you can't stop a flood!

Franz does have a nice TA. Unfortunately urban planners do not go too far back in History when they decide to build something. Big floods and big fires are unfortunately nothing new. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Fire_of_1910

Here in California, whole developments of houses have been built on top af fault lines and mudslides following big earthquakes, where they have filled in dirt to cover open fissures. I think they have finally stopped allowing that.

the last 22 month i had some work with my old new baby

learned a lot while working on the car

printed some new parts
developed an own electric circuit for the hazzard led light and so on

perhaps i will make a new circuit in the original like case for my TA

next winter i will remake the horrible electric behind the dashboard of my TA, perhaps i will fit the electric with relais on the ground from the toolbox so that it is easy to work on it
hte original TA has no hazzard lights so the wires are not behind the dashboard
also i don t want this big switches you can buy
we will see

both cars in my garage at home
so i can take the car i want to drive
some more work in the garage for tools and so on
the MG Logo has a light inside, i love it
will look perfect
but the first step is done
and easy to drive in

last weekend
we wanted to start on Saturday morning with the TA on the trailer to Aachen.
there we wanted to do a challenge of an oldtimer club, the weather was good and everything looked perfect
I brought the trailer to my house and drove the car out of the garage, the trailer has only one axle and can be tilted so that you can drive the car directly onto it when you are on top, someone has to push down the level at the front and then lock it, my wife has never done this before.
I myself have never driven the TA onto this trailer before, so neither of us was practised at it.

I drove the car up to the top, unfortunately I didn't use the handbrake but stepped fully on the brake pedal, the car stopped for a moment, but then suddenly the pressure was gone and the car rolled down, luckily I pulled the handbrake quite quickly so that I didn't bump into another car.
I thought the weekend was over.
I lay down under the car and saw a puddle under the car, I quickly found the fault.
a connection in the brake line was torn open at the front left.
I then removed the connection line from the front right to the left and took a close look at it

this is not right
I had to repair a brake line on another car a few months ago, so I knew what to do.
i took the part and drove to a friend who has a flaring kit
first picture is the ending on the right side, like this it should be
I pushed the protection back and then cut off 1 cm then fixed and flanged everything
it was quick and easy
then i unfortunately ran out of brake fluid, it took me more than 1 hour to get some at a petrol station.
bleeding the brakes also took a while, i was just too much under power and nervous.
After a delay of 3 hours, everything was ready again and we were able to load the car.
I was a little proud after all, I had already written off the weekend.
now the weekend could start, and it will be perfect

The challenge was to take a picture of an entrance sign with the car.
the initial letters must then form the word Klassiker, here the S and the I
we drove about 60 km by car on this beautiful day and had a lot of fun.
First half closed than open
The highlight of the day was the visit of our mother-in-law, an really old lady
She always wanted to sit in such an old sports car.
We fulfilled this wish and then went for a little drive around the block of houses.
She enjoyed it, as you can see.
She is still 11 years older then my car.

Wow, I've never seen an unflared brake line before. Lucky it didn't fail sooner, and in a less safe situation.

I envy your obvious ability to use the 3D printer which I was intrigued by some years ago but have never got around to exploring its obvious possibilities. On the subject of oil pressure watching the John Twist Youtube on the subject of the oil pump is talks of a 65psi pressure. Seems there is a variety of figures suggested for this measurement.

after 24 months of work on the YA
the car is now finished
next Tuesday I will get all the papers I need
so some time for the TA
I have some Brookeland Aeroscreen in my box in the basement
ordered last week, 10*30*1003 mm
after some work this afternoon the driver side is ready
as I don't want to have new holes in the car I decided to build my own construction

now i can store all in the back and if i want i turn the windscreen take my conctruction put it in the hole on the right side and fix ist with a screw on the left side,, on right side a nut

at last i have to change the mirror position
i think less than 5 Minutes to make it

has anyone done it like this ;-) ?
