Nuts screws and machine bolts

Post by jddevel » Sun Nov 21, 2021 7:32 am

Having found two great lists of the various fixings used on the TD and TF would they be a good guide for the body tub to chassis and various other panels for a TC? Anyone any idea.

Those lists would be of interest to me.. There seems to be an odd assortment of threads on my car fitted by the p/o and I have been trying to instal the correct ones where can.

guys, a copy of the book by Malcom Green, MG T series Restoration Guide will give you 95%+ of all the bolts, nuts and screws you need.

Get a copy of Specification 259. It tells you all you need to know about hardware and lots of other stuff.

Hi Ray,

I got my copy of TC specification 259 from britbooks.com in the UK. It's an excellent reference for all sorts of info about the TC.

regards,

Simon

I have Green's book, which has TA bolts on pgs 138-140.
Does this Spec 259 apply to TA?

No, there is a different spec book for each car. The copies I have for TA and TB are incomplete. The TC one is missing some pages but not many. TC and TD are essentially complete.
We can thank Dick Knudson for his archeological digging, and convincing the powers to let him photocopy all of these.
