My question concerns the front hub grease seal, the rubber one that goes on the back side of the hub, against the inner bearing. The seal has a flat face and a contoured face containing a little encircling spring.
Which side of the seal goes against the inner wheel bearing, the flat side or the contoured side? It will fit either way.
Many thanks in advance for your help! Michael Whalen

Re: Front hub grease seal orientation
Hi Michael,
The seal goes in open side first. In other words, you should see the flat side after it's installed.
