Shorrock drive belt

Post by DaveAhrendt » Tue Mar 29, 2022 3:04 am

I've just acquired a Shorrock supercharger kit for a TC/TD but it's missing the drive belts. Does anyone have a reference to a modern belt part number. Thanks

I don't have a Shorrock, but I asked a TCMG member who does (thank you Mark). Here is his reply:

It depends on whether the person has an idler or not. With the idler system we have and concerns that the belt would come off the crank pulley, this is the belt I decided to use (pictured below).

In Jonathan Peck’s “The ABC of Shorrock Supercharging” there are calculations for the belt size (pgs 5-6). Here’s the link:

Thanks for the replies. I figured that I'd probably have to measure it when/if I get that far. The jockey wheel I have has a pretty narrow width slot for the back of the belt to ride in (.388"). I'll need to find a narrow V belt to fit.

Steve, would your friend mind getting an email from me?
