no 1 carb spark plugs white ish no 2 carb spark plugs black and sooty put your foot down a little slugish any idears

I would check the front carb to see if it's stuck. With the air cleaners off, rev the engine and watch the pistons. They should rise together and equally. Or, use your hand to block the front carb off and see if it runs/revs differently. The rear sooty plugs could just be from running rich.

Float bowl ticklers are an easy way to see if your float bowls are getting fuel. Easier than removing the tops. Or, it could be that one carb has the float level too low, and the other has the float level too high. Too high a fuel level will give rich, and too low a fuel level will give lean.
