Weight of TA rolling chassis

Is there anyone who might know approximately the weight of a TA/TB/TC rolling chassis? I.e. ladder frame, front axle drum to drum, rear axle drum to drum, steering column, wheels and tires? Or any of these components separately?
I weighed a wheel with tire at 38 pounds so four wheels with tires is 152 pounds.
I need to trailer mine and my trailer has a load capacity of 1100 pounds.

I don't know the actual weight, but without the engine and gearbox you should definitely be under 1100 lbs. The whole car is what, 1800 lbs? Subtract about 400 for engine and gearbox, 300 for body, interior, etc, plus all the other small parts. I would guess maybe 1000 or so. There is a procedure to weigh a vehicle one wheel at a time and come up with a total weight. I don't remember how to do it offhand but it should be online somewhere.

As I remember, a complete TC weighs in at under 1800#, and the body tub without interior I would guess is about 225. The engine and trans weigh about 300#, So I would think you would have no problem with an 1100# capacity trailer, as long as the car is vigorously strapped down. NOTE: these are rough estimates, but I would have no hesitation doing as you siuggest.

Hi Tom,
I have a TA chassis and parts. On the side of the chassis I have written "approx 52 kg" in marker pen. I can't remember doing it, and it must have been twenty years ago at least, when I was toying with the idea of building another Special. It is a bare TA chassis with trunnions and brake/clutch pedals, but it is missing the front cross bar (between dumb-irons).
Pretty sure TA parts would weigh about the same as TC. Engine and gearbox would be different I guess.
I just advertised the TA chassis and a heap of parts last night on the "Prewarcar.com" site, as I have been trying to unclutter my shed.

Thanks guys. I loaded it up today and the trailer tires look alright. I have six 2" ratcheting straps holding it down.
Only going 72 miles and I'll stay off the Interstate, take the slower route.
