Seeking Hood Ornament

Hi All.
Trying to locate the creator of this ornament. Googling only brings up the stock image. Any leads?

Perhaps you could try researching John Jewsbury & Co. who amongst many other things made car mascots. I have seen a bulldog attributed to them; the trouble is they seemed not to stamp their products. Another obvious maker of British bulldog mascots was Desmo.

Another maker you could try is Louis Lejeune Ltd. of London. AEL were one of the largest manufacturers of car mascots.

As you are probably aware, all radiator mascots etc. were an after market accessory and there were quite a few Bulldogs.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I was searching for 'hood ornament'. 'Mascots' certainly show greater results.

I don't know the maker, but I do know there's a TD with that same ornament driving around Central California. I can try to figure out whose car it is if that would help.
