TC Rear deck dimension.

Post by Ray White » Tue Aug 20, 2024 7:19 pm

I can't seem to find a measurement for the plywood shelf that goes across the back of the tub. Sherrell shows the part but has not included a measurement of it's depth.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. Ray.

I just happen to have mine off at the moment. I can't guarantee it's correct, but it measures 15 7/8" deep. The first 1/4" has a taper.

Sorry for not being clear.

No, I am referring to the piece that covers the side screen box. It follows the rear contours of the tub so it's back edge is curved at the ends but has a straight front edge. Covered in vinyl.

EDIT: OK, I have found it. The measurement is 85mm.

Thanks again.

I am at the stage of constructing the plywood sections of the side screen box. Having read the difficulties that people seem to have when installing the side screens, I am leaning towards making the box a bit bigger. I think the measurement of 85mm from front to back may be increased to 95 mm which should enlarge the box enough to make side screen installation a bit easier. I will probably also need to bring the trim fillets forward by 10 mm which hopefully should allow for easier side screen stowage.
