Richard, I thought 10 to 14 days work to do mine. Took seven weeks! But worth it. The bodyshop have filled in all the holes that had been drilled in the wings and the rust holes at the tips of the front wings, bottom of the doors and welded in new metal for the scuttle holes. Holes isn't that good a description, one side had no metal left at all.
I fully expect it to last a lifetime and hope my grandson will be interested in taking it over. He'll be here in August and is 10. I'll work him over and see if I can get him to love old cars......
If you read my blog you'll have read that it's not a good idea to sit on the brush with the chemical cleaner on.
It burns yer bum!

Re: Sandblasting Wheel Rims
Many years ago I rebuilt an MGB. Very rusty and many holes. I too thought take it to the sand blaster and get all the old paint and muck off it. The body shell was much much thicker than a TC. All the panels finished up clean and primed.
The bonnet was so distorted it was scrapped. The scuttle was also distorted and I had to use a lot of time and filler to get it flat. Never again. There is no way I would sand blast my TA.

Update: got the body panels and wheels back from Newbury Sandblasting today. Most everything turned out better than expected. My sandblaster had about 30 years experience with cars, including doing an aluminum bodied porsche 356? They used the finest available grit of aluminum oxide media at a low pressure to do the job, because otherwise the rust would not get removed sufficiently.
Nothing was warped. Pitting from the last owners choice of blasting and then not painting 15 years ago all but invisible. Some areas as expected will need to be sanded in spots to bare metal and repaired but the lot of it is now in very good shape, amooth, and ready to be block sanded and painted.
My family did not die, my dog did not run away, my fenders did not turn into doritos, but I am $1067 out of pocket

Kameron, Hope it's OK. It sounds so gentle.....
Mine is now being painted and I'm not sure I like it. It is so good the car is going to look very over-restored, my pet hate about restored cars.
However I can't ask the chromer to do a bad job, and Maurice thje body man is really good and would be offended if I asked him to do a bad job.
I'll just have to drive every day until it calms down,
