TA engine and trans
Who is the Kansas City chap selling TA engine & trans bits? Pricey lot.
I have decided that I don't really need my TA engine & trans, but unsure how to sell. Probably in bits because the crank and block are very unwell.
Any thoughts?

What are you going to do for motive power?
How about a Miata engine/trans combo?? Not that I have one for sale.

Allan is probably thinking a GM v8 would be useful, but perhaps I am being dyslexic,

I have an empty corner in my garage waiting for enough pieces to build a pre-war car. We should talk.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - been selling stuff.

The TA has a 1500 sleeved XPAG residing.

More info and advice request:
I'd like to throw out a question for folks about my engine and trans.
I have installed an XPAG sleeved to 1500, along with a TC trans. I thought I was going to keep the engine for a future owner, but it's not likely someone would want to switch.
The questions: Should I sell it by pieces or intact? I have everything. The block is bored to 2.5 inches, or 64 cm and the crank mains are about 10 under, but the journals are way under at about 90 thou. It's got a goodly coat of rust.
The block has a crack at the bottom, about three inches in length from the bottom surface. It fell over whilst on the floor upside down in the 1989 earthquake - tells you a lot about the metal quality. It is an easy fix in a non-critical spot.

Re: TA engine and trans
Not sure about the value/demand/supply of TA engines and engine bits, but wondering if there are crankshafts available that would make the rest of the bits more viable, as it seems that the weak link in all this is the crank turned 90thou undersized.
I've often thought, now that I'm getting older, that I could get more for my TC by breaking it up into parts than I could by selling it as a car. Of course, whenever I mention this, all sorts of do-gooders tell me that it would be a crime to break it up. (of course, it's not their money)
