Anyone We Recognize?

Post by Steve Simmons » Wed Mar 13, 2013 3:33 pm

Does anyone recognize the TC (or TD) owners in the photo below? It shows some car-loving employees of Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA in 1952. The caption with the photo reads:
Members of the JPL Motorsport Club held a sports car exhibition on the lab in August 1952. There are several MG and Hillman Minx cars, a Triumph, a Crosley Hot Shot and a 1928 Model A Ford. Many of the people who fabricated prototype spacecraft and test models during the week worked on their "earth vehicles" at night and on weekends.

At first glance, I thought what's an A-H Sprite doing in a 1952 snapshot. The windshield corners didn't look right though, and I'm wondering if this is what we're seeing:

Love the old pics - keep 'em coming!

After re-reading Steve's caption, I have to agree. It's a Crosley.

Great old photo! Reminds me of the times when I first started noticing TCs on the road, and realizing I wanted one.
