MG TA spare wheel

Post by martinjames » Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:46 am

The spare wheel is loose on the carrier even when the spinner is done up tightly. Any suggestions as to how I can tighten it.

Perhaps you have the pre-war spare wheel carrier for the Triple-M's; their wheels were outer-laced whereas the T-types are centre laced. Could even be just the boss isnt right, been swapped or damaged/remade. If you have a photo of the mount (without wheel) that'll help.

Saying this, I'm not sure if the TA did have outers or centres!

TA had side laced wheels but I don't know if that was all of them or just early ones.

Just the early ones had side laced wheels. Will get a photo of the carrier organized.
