Photo of the Month

Post by Steve Simmons » Sun Apr 07, 2013 7:48 pm

So I jumped myself ahead in the line of "photos of the month" on our site because I wanted to share a picture I took this afternoon that I think you will all enjoy. If you like WWII bombers and old MGs then I think you will like it. I took a flight in the aircraft, and let me tell you, if you ever get the chance then do it! Nothing like sticking your head outside at 140 MPH behind four big beautiful radials!

Great pic Steve. I too took the flight on Saturday. Wish I had thought about the picture opportunity, nice work!

Well if we're showing more photos, here is my TC and Y-Type with a Supermarine Spitfire at Chino. I have a color version somewhere I can post if anyone cares.

Ok, here is a brief video of my trip. My favorite part of the experience starts at about 6:17 in.

To watch in full high def goodness, click here and set the video to hi def (1080). Then click full screen.

Outside the plane? Geesh...I have enough problems getting myself into the inside of one!
