non start when hot.
Came back from a long run Sunday (About 45 miles) in TC 7440 and backed into the driveway, shut the car off to open the garage door and empty the car of jackets and other gear. Got back in the car and it would not start. Pushed it into the garage and tried again, nothing. About fifteen minutes later it started right . Coil is about 5-6 years old and it was quite warm (83 deg.) Anyone have any ideas???? Thanx

I'll second that. I think I solved the problem by fitteng the plastic heat blocks as fitted to the MGB. I've had a vapour lock problem and, when we lived in France, often drove in 30+c temps. Could switch off, pop into a shop and it would always start again.
Actually I fitted the heat blocks to stop the carb flanges warping, which is caused by heat, not overtightening the nuts.

Heat soak vapor lock. Next time it will not hot start try using the choke to start. If that works, you do not need any modifications.
