New Website Features!
NEW FEATURE:
Automatic image resizing for attached images is now functional. Large images now fit inside the message area correctly rather than spilling out. Clicking the image brings up the full size version. If an attachment is 640 pixels wide or smaller, then obviously you can't click for a larger version.
Attachment uploads are currently limited to 1600 pixels wide and high, and 1mb in file size. When automatically re-sized by the forum, the smaller version displayed in your posts is 640 pixels wide and greatly reduced in file size. This will make pages load much faster for everyone. When a resized image is clicked, the original image uploaded by the user is displayed in full size.
NEW FEATURE:
The complete text-based member list from the old TABC site has been added and is now searchable like it was before, by name or by chassis number. I can add more parameters if necessary. See the "Member List" page. You will need to enter the usual password to view the Member List (if you've already entered it in the past 2 weeks then you won't have to again). Then, you will have to enter it again to view the sorted lists (also once per 2 weeks or so). There is no way around this behavior at this time.

Re: New Features Today!
On Gene Olson and David Edgar's suggestion I'm adding an Events Calendar page to the site. If you get any strange errors on the page, please ignore them. I'm still de-bugging the PHP code.

Re: New Features Today!
I like the Events page but cannot find how to get there other than your link above. Once an active link is made available hopefully you get to the Events List rather than some particular calendar month page. I doubt anyone would scan through the months to find an event.
How much work will this be for you though Steve? Will members be able to post events or do they have to notify you and then you post it? That could become cumbersome with adding and deleting events.
And I talked to you about an events page although Gene may have also, so not sure if that was your 1AM fingers stumbling when you made your reply above.

Re: New Features Today!
Actually I think it was both of you. Or maybe it was my 1AM fingers.
At the time of this post, the calendar is only a sneak preview so there is no permanent link yet. It will eventually appear in the top menu. Good suggestion about a list of events being the default. I'll do that now.
Ideally I want members to be able to enter events themselves, but the only calendar software I can find that I really like is this one, and it doesn't do it. I do have concerns about the time involved. Maybe I can get a volunteer to be the events calendar guy.

NEW FEATURE:
Events Calendar!
Click the Events Calendar link in the top menu. A listing of all submitted events will be displayed. Clicking on an event will bring up specific information about the event including a map to its location. You can also click on "Calendar View" to view month by month.
There is an event submission link, which unfortunately is not automated so each event has to be entered manually by the site admin. In the future I hope to change this!

Re: New Features Today!
NEW FEATURE:
You Tube videos! In the full editor there is a "youtube" tag button you can use, or type the tag manually in the Quick Reply area. To use the YouTube tag, simply copy the YouTube video ID (the letters and numbers at the end of the YouTube video address) and paste it between the YouTube tag. It should looke like this, only replacing this video ID with the one you want to play.
The end result is this: (video link courtesy Gene Gillam)

Re: New Features Today!
NEW FEATURE:
User avatars now display on the forum member list. Clicking the image will take you to that person's profile page. Remember the forum member list is separate from the member list of the main site. Forum member list is reached through the "Members" link at the top right of the forum. Hopefully this will entice everyone to post an image of themselves, their car, or themselves in their car.
I have big plans for the member list in general for the future so this is a good first step.

Re: New Features Today!
Steve...no automatic resizing for avatars? I tried to add one and file was too big.

Re: New Features Today!
Unfortunately there is no good way to do this. The easiest way to make an avatar image is going to a site like Pic Resize, Web Resizer or Photo Resize.
Enter 90 pixels as the maximum dimension. If your image is wider than it is tall (landscape) then enter 90 pixels wide. If it is taller than wide (portrait) then enter 90 pixels high.

NEW FEATURE
I've added the "Links" page from the old site. I don't know how I forgot to transfer it over, but now it's back. Access the links page through the menu to the right of the main web site.
Also, I know some of the links may be outdated or broken, I'll get to those as soon as I can. If you note any errors, feel free to shoot me a message.

Thanks, I will put those on my to-do list. I'll repair those I can, and delete those I can't.

Most of them are just "gone" I think...or wouldn't allow access.
