Hi All, yes I do have a TC but I am also restoring a '51 TD I scooped for a "stupid good deal" I hope you can help me out with. When I look at the MOSS numbers for the TC and TD the bearing numbers are not the same, but I thought... (?) that the gear box's for the TC's and TD's were the same.
Either way, I need a new rear main shaft bearing for the TD and I am unable to read the number on the original bearing so I can cross reference it to a bearing off the shelf locally.
Does anyone happen to know what a modern bearing number (Timkin?) would be?
Thanks, Pat

The gearbox for TD/TF is completely different. It's a much weaker design, unfortunately. I might be able to find an original part number to cross reference if no one else comes up with what you need.

hi Pat - it is a 6205, a standard light duty ball bearing. Tinken, SKF are the ones to look for - avoid anything Chinese!
BTW I answered this over a week ago but nothing appeared...
