Is there to be some type of material between the body and chassis on a TC? I vaguely recall using small thin squares of a dense rubber on a TF I restored a few years back. I checked in the Moss catalog but couldn't find anything listed but FTFU has a bolt kit which includes what I think they called "packing".
So, does the TC get something between the body and chassis and if so what is the approx thickness? Thanks...

Hi Lou, great to see you're now thinking about the TC ...
There aren't any part numbers that can/was used to fit between the chassis and body rails. However, as you mentioned, rubber, neoprene or even metal washers can and should be used to raise and drop the front and rear bodies areas. This provides a pitch angle, closer door fittings and gap adjustment ...

Re: TC Body to Chassis Material?
Hi Chris, I have to think about the TC or I'll go crazy. So much has happened I couldn't make it up! My wife fell and broke her hip in mid February resulting in surgery to pin the fracture back in place. Three months into it the pins shifted and the bone rotated. Back in for another surgery to have a complete hip replacement. That was 4 weeks ago and she still can't walk even with a walker. Friday she fell again and again on Saturday breaking her hip in another area. So she now is trying to heal from the replacement surgery 4 weeks ago and hoping the 'latest' break will heal on it's own because the surgeon does not want her to go through any additional surgeries due to having Parkinson's. What a &**^^% mess we're in! So the little time I can break away from my care giving duties I spend thinking about the TC. Oh yea one more thing! Attempting to help her from falling I tore my rotator cuff so I'm back to being one armed again! Crazy!!!

Gosh Lou, when it rains it pours! Lets hope that you're getting all your bad luck done with at once and it will be smooth sailing from here on out. Best wishes to your wife!

Thanks Steve, It's been a rough 2020 for us but we'll get through it all, I hope. Until then I'll sneak in some questions concerning my TC project as I think of them. Thanks again.
