gasket between gearbox and clutch housing?

Post by Norman Golm » Fri May 02, 2014 3:45 pm

Is there a gasket between the gearbox and the clutch housing? If not why doesn't the joint leak? I have put three of these together and now I can't remember.

The bell housing attaches forward of the oil seal on the input shaft. It's really just a cover for the clutch assembly, and a link (spacer) to connect the gearbox and engine. The gearbox can function on its own without the housing attached at all, with no leaks.
