Old photos of T-series cars at used car shops

Post by Rob Reilly » Sun Mar 07, 2021 5:59 am

Someone posted these on a Jaguar forum I am on. They were taken by his father in 1977.
The two of fairly decent cars for sale are at S.H. Richardson and Sons in Staines, Surrey.
The two of derelict cars are at a shop called Moto-Build somewhere in the back alleys of London.

Oh boy, those were the days. Want a TC? Empty your spare change jar and get one. And get a spare for parts while you're at it.

This doesn't specifically show the dealership, but a friend just sent this to me 10 minutes ago. British Motorcar Company on Market Street in the Bay Area of California.

I remember visiting both Richardson’s at Staines and Moto Build in Hounslow in the late 70’s. The Richardson’s photo shows only a small selection of their huge stock, there were rooms full of cars. I bought an MGB from them which served me well for a while. I also tried to buy an MGA from motobuild but they messed me about over it. Happy days.
