TC Fuel Tank
TC Fuel Tank
I’m missing something trying to remove the gas tank. I can move it, but it looks like it is secured into the fenders were the two rubber bushings are on the side of the tank. I hate trying to force something. I removed the straps and the spare tire carrier along with the fuel line. I’m missing something. There is a bolt through the fender well. I thought that just held the rubber bushing in place. Does it go all the way into the tank? Are there some other hidden bolts or am I just not pulling hard enough?

Re: TC Fuel Tank
There is a captive nut that the bolt threads into on each side of tank. The Moss catalog can be of use to show this.

Re: TC Fuel Tank
It turns out the "builder" used studs instead of a bolts to attach the the tank to the fenders. I resorted to the double-nut technique to extract. Now it's off to the repair shop.

Split pins to hold the bottom fuel tank pads to the frame?
