The car was purchased in 1963 and used for daily round trip commutes of 60 miles through downtown Dallas. I then met up with a MG TD owner and we campaigned the car in SCCA H Production races against younger MG´s and the deadly "bug eyed sprites"! After that it was a Shorrock supercharger, SCCA Ralleyes, Gymkhanas with lots of hard driving. Then a long garaged rest.

In 1992 I started a frame up restoration, including rebuilding the body tub, all under the influence of Mike Sherrell who I met in the States at the 1992 Harrisburg, Pa GOF meeting. He encouraged me to restore my EXU back to the car´s original specifications. His point was that since only 458 MG TC EXU´s had beenn made, the car deserved special research and careful restoration. The enclosed photos show the car in various stages of restoration. It truly was a work of love and I am currently installing a tan canvas hood with the correct mitered chrome stripes on the side curtains.

Photos of my TC, with Shorrock supercharger installed, appear on Page 18 in Feb, 1996 "The Sacred Octagon" and on page 14 of the MG Car Club´s "Safety Fast", vol 42 no. 6. june 1998.
